Launch of the Nijmegen Agenda for Transformative Inter- and Transdisciplinarity in Earth System Governance

The Nijmegen Agenda addresses the urgent global sustainability challenges of accelerated climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and deepening social inequalities. It highlights the imperative for fundamental societal changes to reshape structures for sustainability and justice. This session will launch the Nijmegen Agenda, a new roadmap encouraging earth system governance researchers to engage in transformative inter- and transdisciplinary research and collaborations. The Agenda underscores the importance of integrating diverse knowledge systems and working with non-academic stakeholders to foster more holistic and inclusive approaches to sustainability transformations. The session will feature discussions on the Agenda, key areas for collaboration, and practical steps forward to position the Earth System Governance Project as a catalyst for transformative inter- and transdisciplinary research and engagement.
