In this session, members of the Taskforce on Governing Nature & Biodiversity will share latest research insights to help reflect on the role of governing nature and biodiversity in the era of the polycrisis. Presentations include:

  1. Mainstreaming Biodiversity Targets into Sectoral Policies and Plans: A Review of Scientific Research from a Biodiversity Policy Integration Perspective (Yves Zinngrebe)
  2. The punctuated equilibrium in global biodiversity governance (Florian Rabitz)
  3. Transformative governance of biodiversity (Matilda Dunn)
  4. Biodiversity Governance and Institutional Change: Charting the history of the CBD (Simon Beaudoin)
  5. Rights and values of nature in the era of the polycrisis (Stefan Knauß)

The panel is open to all ESG members interested in learning about and discussing the role of biodiversity governance in the context of multiple and compounding global challenges. The panel will be chaired by Fred Dahlmann.
