About this speaker
Dr. Yves Zinngrebe investigates steering options for a sustainable human interaction with biodiversity and nature (governance of biodiversity and nature conservation). He has a special interest for options and strategies for transformative governance and integrative policy making. He sis leading the group on the governance on biodiversity and nature at the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig Germany. His special interest is the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and its national implementation. He has worked on biodiversity governance in Germany, the EU, Peru, Honduras, Indonesia, Uganda and other countries. He is co-leading the Earth System Governance Task Force on Governance of Nature and Biodiversity. Yves Zinngrebe is further Coordinating Lead Author (CLA) for the global report on transformative change by the Intergovernmental Platform for Biodiersity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).
