About this speaker
Dr. Rebecca Riggs is a sustainability scientist in CSIRO Agriculture and Food. Working in transdisciplinary partnerships, Rebecca’s research focuses on leveraging change in institutions through innovation, agency, and relational praxis. She uses a broad range of values-centred approaches and visual tools to co-develop systems capabilities for just sustainability transitions. After completing her undergraduate in chemical engineering and economics, Rebecca completed a Master of Development Practice and PhD in Governing Landscape Transitions in Cambodia at JCU. As a postdoctoral research fellow at UBC, Rebecca led transdisciplinary research on enabling the integration of local values into forest enterprises and institutions in Canada, Indonesia, and Cameroon. Rebecca is currently working on just sustainability transitions in critical minerals and food systems.
