Veronica Korber Gonçalves is a professor in the Department of Economy and International Relations at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and currently serves as a professor at the Institute of International Relations at the University of Brasília (UnB). She holds a PhD in International Relations (2016), a Master’s degree in Environmental Law (2009), and a Master’s degree in Political Sociology (2010). She is a member of the South-South Initiative within the Earth System Governance network. Her current research focuses on indigenous land rights in the Amazon in the 21st century, forest carbon credits, and global climate change governance. She examines issues of justice and allocation, taking into account the region’s contextual conditions of inequality and diversity.
