Dr. Scott Carlin

Dr. Scott Carlin coordinates the Wyandanch Community Advisory Board (CAB) with NYSCHECK, the New York State Children’s Environmental Health Centers. Dr. Carlin is a member of the SDG Thought Leaders Circle and a leader in the Unitive Thematic Cluster, a project to improve outcomes in the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He also helps coordinate the Unitive Justice and Global Security Circle. These projects emphasize planetary interdependence. The aim is to "amplify and empower a vision that ensures a healthy, vibrant future for all life on our beautiful planet." At the United Nations, Dr. Carlin is an NGO representative for the Dayemi Foundation, located in Bangladesh. Previously, Dr. Carlin represented the International Society of Doctors for the Environment (ECOSOC representative) and Long Island University (UN DGC). From 2019 to 2021, Dr. Carlin served as second vice-president of the Global NGO Executive Committee (GNEC), a voluntary board of elected NGO representatives to the UN, which works closely with the UN Department of Global Communications.
