Louise du Toit is a lecturer in law at Southampton Law School, University of Southampton, where she teaches, amongst others, international environmental law. She previously held postdoctoral research positions at North-West University and the University of Cape Town in South Africa. Louise’s research broadly focuses on strengthening environmental law and governance to respond to current earth system challenges, including climate change, stratospheric ozone depletion, and plastics. Louise holds a PhD in Public Law and an LLM in Environmental Law and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa
