About this speaker
Dylan is a scholar-activist, pracademic, and multimedia artist with a PhD in Environmental Education from Rhodes University, and an affiliation with the Social Sculpture Research Unit at Oxford Brookes. Beginning in Zoology and Marine Biology, Dylan shifted focus to socio-cultural transformation through storytelling, using visual art, theatre, and social sculpture to inspire change. As co-director of the ONE OCEAN HUB, Dylan develops "Empatheatre," a theatre-based approach for social learning and policy change. Their work centers on empathy as a tool for ecological citizenship and re-imagining justice through creative practice.
