About this speaker

Dr. Chamu Kuppuswamy is a lawyer focussing on international development issues. She obtained her PhD in 2007 from the University of Sheffield, and currently is Senior Lecturer and Interdisciplinary Research Lead on research in the Global Economy, at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, UK. A Chevening Scholar, and a advocate qualified for the Indian Bar, Chamu holds a Masters and Undergraduate degrees in Law and Defence Studies from India and the UK. She is a convenor of International environmental and biolaw interest groups at the European Society of International Law, and is a member of the Earth Systems Law Taskforce at the ESG project.
