About this speaker
Prakash Kashwan is an educator, author, and scholar, whose work cuts across the fields of climate governance, environmental and climate justice, and international affairs. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Environmental Studies at Brandeis University. He is also the Chair of the Environmental Justice concentration in the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at the Heller School of Social Policy and Management. Before moving to Brandeis, he was a tenured Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Connecticut and co-director of the Economic and Social Rights Group at UConn's Human Rights Institute.
Dr. Kashwan is the current Chair of the Environmental Studies Section (ESS), International Studies Association (ISA), co-founder of Climate Justice Network, and one of the Editors of the journal Environmental Politics.
